Climate64 partnered with MSH, a global technology and talent solutions provider, on co-authoring a report - Adaptable Climate Tech Careers in the Age of AI - that shares valuable insights and expertise on leveraging AI to recruit top climate tech workers. The report reveals that since the Inflation Reduction Act's implementation, over 66,000 new green jobs have been created across America, with clean energy manufacturing jobs projected to more than double globally from 6 million to 14 million by 2030. Five key adaptable occupations are highlighted in building efficiency, including carpenters, electricians, first-line supervisors, plumbers/pipefitters, and general operations managers.

To address this unprecedented growth, the report examines how organizations can effectively use AI-driven recruitment tools and certification pathways to build their climate tech workforce. Particularly noteworthy is the finding that electrical, general construction, data, and management occupations will drive 75% of the anticipated 13.3 million new job gains in the sector. The report details how companies are implementing various AI solutions - from candidate assessment tools to natural language processing for job matching - while emphasizing the continued importance of human oversight in evaluating cultural fit and soft skills.
